What shall I expect on my first visit?

After talking with the office team, she will visit you at home and carry out an assessment. This is so we can understand your circumstances and needs in full, allowing the plan of care to be accurate and effective. The office team will ask you a series of questions to assess your exact requirements and get to know your expectations, wishes and goals.

When will my care start?

This can vary from client to client and will be discussed at your initial assessment.

In most circumstances, care usually starts within 1-2 weeks of your assessment.

What kind of people do you look after?

We offer care to people of all ages and needs, including dementia and learning difficulties. We accept funding from NHS, Social Care, Direct payments and private payments.

How do I pay?

This depends on who is funding your care. For private and Direct payments, you will be invoiced directly at the end of each month. If you care is funded by a third party, we will invoice them direct.

What are the charges?

This depends on the length of your calls. Please discuss with office team for further details.

Which geographical area do you cover?

Radcliffe Home Help Services currently provides services across Radcliffe, Bingham, West Bridgford, Keyworth and Beeston. However, depending on your needs and care package, we will consider offering care in any area.

Who will come at each call?

We try our best to introduce you to all of our small team of carers. This is to avoid a carer that you have not met before, arriving to provide your care.

What if my needs change?

If your needs change, we will reassess and change your plan of care accordingly at the earliest point. It might be that your needs require longer or further visits, or your circumstances improve and you require shorter or fewer visits. Whatever is required, we will do our utmost to adapt to your needs and continue to provide the highest standards of care.

What if I want to stop your services?

If you no longer require our services, please discuss this with the office team who will then decide with yourselves the most appropriate time to withdraw care.

What if I go into hospital or respite?

If you go into hospital either planned or unplanned, you will not be charged for the calls missed. The same applies to respite care or other unplanned calls as long as we are given at least 48hrs notice. Calls cancelled less than 48hrs will be charged at the full rate.
